Micromax to Drive Two Latest Windows Smartphones

Micromax is going to announce its two brand new phones on the date of 16th June 2014. As per the report, both the devices will come under the range of company's canvas series.

Micromax was confirmed as one of the OEMs for windows phone at this year's conference. The domestic vendor is one of the prime partners for windows phone in India, another being Karbonn and Lava.

This upcoming Micromax windows phone 8.1 will provide tough competition to the Nokia Lumia series where it is the only company selling windows phone 8.1 handsets in India.

In this year, windows phone shipments are expected to cross 43 million, which are nearly 30 percent of 2013. It is expected that IDC projects windows phone's market share will increase from 3.5 to 6.4 percent and 115 million in 2018.
